We have recently decided to pivot our operations and focus on providing the best and tastiest fats for plant-based foods. Shifting global diets from animal-based to plant-based foods will be crucial in transitioning to more sustainable, healthy, and ethical consumption patterns. The rapidly growing plant-based industry is key to making this happen.
Fat is a crucial component of foods and is the reason why so many plant-based foods still don’t taste quite like their animal-based equivalents. This is something that we want to fix.
In connection with this, we have also changed our name to Melt&Marble to better reflect our current focus. The melting profile and marbling that animal fats provide are key to juiciness, tenderness, texture, and flavour- and are difficult to replicate with plant-based fats. With our technology, we can produce fats that are identical to animal fats or even better, mimicking all the properties that current alternatives are lacking.
We believe that this technology will become an important enabler for plant-based foods and are excited to embark on this journey!
